Phoenix Center
University of Wisconsin - Green Bay

The Phoenix Center is UW-Green Bay's student athletic complex.

Lewis Sound and Video Professionals designed and installed a room combining sound system in the field house, which can be configured as one, two, three or four separate gyms, each with its own independent sound system. Highlights of this system include:

  • A Peavey digital signal processor, which we used for the room combining functions as well as tuning and optimizing the sound.
  • Crestron control of the DSP and other system functions. Our programming included presets for each room configuration plus special functions such as game announcements and graduation ceremonies. An LCD touchscreen simplifies operation.
  • Wireless microphones.
  • CD-based background music.
  • Down-firing Renkus Heinz loudspeakers mounted in the ceiling.

Room combining logic separates the sound system when the field house is divided.

A Crestron control system with touch screen makes it easy to switch over the system.

Lewis Sound installed this rack for the amps, CD, wireless mic receivers and control system.
